Azores Game

A sea of stories

About Azores Game

A little boat. Nine extraordinary islands. Sail, fish and find your own story in the Azores.

What it is

Azores Game is a free multiplayer sailing game you play in your web browser, on a computer, a tablet or a phone. Up to 64 captains share one sea around the nine islands of the Azores, drawn from their real coastlines, with their real harbours and landmarks.

You start in a little dinghy at Ponta Delgada. From there it is up to you: carry deliveries between harbours, fish the open Atlantic, race regattas, help at the festas, photograph whales, rescue cagarro chicks, step ashore to walk the islands, anchor a floating harbour of your own, and rise from Deckhand to Master of the Nine Islands.

The real Azores, in a game

Every island keeps its true outline and the places that make it itself: Sete Cidades and Furnas, Angra’s harbour, the fajãs of São Jorge, Pico’s mountain, Horta’s marina, the waterfalls of Flores and Corvo’s great crater. The festas are the islands’ own, from the Holy Spirit impérios to Sanjoaninas, and the start screen shows the real weather in Ponta Delgada today.

Days pass quickly at sea: a whole day and night take about forty minutes, with sunrises, fog nights, storms with names and a moon that waxes and wanes.

Free, with no ads

The game is free and has no ads or tracking. You can set sail as a guest at once; saving your captain to an account, with your email or Google, keeps it safe on every device and opens the chat. How your data is kept
